Prior to establishing One + One, LLC in September 2009, Jane spent five years with the fifth largest
accounting firm in the nation, McGladrey & Pullen, LLP. Jane worked in the attestation services
During her tenure with McGladrey & Pullen, Jane managed multiple audits and reviews for entities
with annual revenues ranging from $5M - $150M both in the private and public sectors.
On government contracting engagements, Jane gained experience in the specific nuances of cost
accounting in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and indirect rate structure design.
Jane also worked extensively within the public auditing arena. In addition to significant, complex
accounting issues including fair value measurements, goodwill impairment, and revenue recognition,
these engagements required specific knowledge and expertise in Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
As an Audit Manager, Jane gained important experience in managing personnel. She headed engagement teams of two to ten team members and coordinated the complete audit process from planning to final issuance of financial statements. Jane was responsible for the on-site completion of audit procedures under both generally accepted auditing standards (GAAS) and Public Company Oversight Accounting Board (PCAOB) standards.
With her background and experience from McGladrey & Pullen, Jane established One + One. As a boutique accounting services firm, One + One focuses on financial accounting, business advisory and risk advisory services.
Notable Engagements
Acting Controller for small government contractor in the
Washington, DC area. Jane is responsible for the accounting function, which
includes review of the ongoing recordkeeping as well as the preparation of
financial statements, budgets, monthly reconciliations,
contract required
reports.
Managed the financial statement audit and Sarbanes-Oxley internal
control audits of a publicly traded technology company with ~$130M in annual
revenue. Jane’s responsibilities
included the management and implementation of external audit services, supervising
work performed by the audit team, and working closely with clients to ensure
adherence to audit schedules and deadlines. Jane assisted this client with a variety of critical issues,
including goodwill impairment, revenue recognition and fair value measurements.
